The Farley Center : Substance Use Assistance

LGB and Transgender community members, military dependents, and LGBT veterans needing addiction treatment services, are encouraged to call the Farley Center in Williamsburg, Virginia. This addiction treatment center offers affordable services for patients ranging from detoxification programs, short-term stabilization, to partial hospitalization up to three months. The facility is inclusive and affirming of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender veterans and civilians.


"Addiction is a Family Illness"

Understanding that “addiction is a “Family Illness”, the Family Program is available to support patients’ family members throughout the treatment process. During the 3-day workshop, offered weekly on weekends, group participants engage in discussions and activities aimed to educate family members on the impact of addiction on families, relationship dynamics, maintaining recovery, maintaining care, improving communication and more. High functioning professionals seeking assistance can engage in The Professional Program to receive treatment services. According to the Farley Center, “treating these individuals in a cohort-specific setting eases self-disclosure and facilitates the subsequent repair of damage from substance-related behaviors... we create a treatment setting that recognizes their professional status while maintaining universal recovery principles.” Learn more about the Professional Program here.
